Abstract |
Background. The index of the work of the left ventricle, taking into account fiber contraction in three directions, allows modeling and predicting myocardial contractility without surgical intervention. The study of the work of the heart, taking into account biomechanics, will allow in clinical practice to identify all kinds of deviations at an early stage and timely correct the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The aim of this study is to develop a numerical method for calculating the work of LV segments in three directions simultaneously. Materials and methods. The study of patients was carried out using the ultrasound machine "VividTM E95" in the 4D imaging mode. To calculate the work of both the specific segment and the entire LV, a numerical method is implemented. Results. A numerical method for calculating the proposed indicators of LV performance has been developed. A comparative analysis of the obtained work indices with existing indicators was carried out. Conclusion. The proposed indicators make it possible to evaluate the effectiveness of the contractile function of the myocardium. The developed numerical method for calculating the work index takes into account all types of deformation: tension-compression, shear, bending, torsion. Segmental interactions offer unique opportunities for detailed study of the heart. |
